So for those who are unfamiliar with the term static caravan we will explain exactly what it is. A caravan static or otherwise can be used as a home but more often is used for holidays away. It has either two or four wheels so can be transported between destinations. This is different from a mobile home with its own engine as this can be driven instead of towed.

A static caravan will vary in size usually between 20 and 50 ft long with prices generally higher for the larger models.

Static caravans are stationed on a site and are not meant for towing. They need to be transported long distances by a lorry and are often kept permanently on a caravan site for convenience.

The facilities you will have access to vary between site but you will generally find that there is a facility for drainage through the camps plumbing facilities. There may also be a telephone connection and even internet dependent on the site.
Depending on your finances and preferences you can choose to live in luxury in a caravan static or otherwise. They can be fitted with double glazing, central heating, a large fridge, a bath and shower,  luxury furniture and more.

In term of caravan spares you may need or desire for your caravan there are a number of options.

You will probably want a gazebo if you like a quick and easy solution for sheltering. They can be packed away easily and be a great addition to your caravan. It is important however to securely attach them or they could disappear in the wind.

Another essential is some furniture for outside the caravan. Some fold up chairs and a table can easily be stored in the caravan and are great for a sunny day when you want to enjoy the outside.

There are many more caravan spares and accessories you can pick up and it all depends on your own preference and possibly how long you intend to spend living in the mobile home. While some people use them for a nice break others live in a static caravan on a permanent basis.
